Job Title: Employee Relations Advisor
📍 Location: Southern England (flexible base, ad-hoc travel to sites)
💼 Contract: Permanent
💰 Salary: £35,700
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Provide expert, legally compliant ER advice to managers on a wide range of people management issues.
Support managers with HR activities, including grievance and disciplinary processes, absence reviews, performance management, and pay & benefits.
Advise on HR policies, procedures, and employment law implications.
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, strategies, and initiatives.
Coordinate and respond to HR support inbox/portal queries as needed.
Support organisational change, including TUPE and redundancy consultations.
Maintain accurate colleague records in HR/Payroll systems while ensuring confidentiality.
Assist across the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, including recruitment, induction, performance management, learning and development, and compensation.
Collaborate with HR Leadership to develop and roll out HR projects.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Travel to sites and branches as required.
👤 Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience handling varied casework, including disciplinaries and grievances.
Comfortable supporting a geographically dispersed, customer-facing workforce.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive, able to identify issues and explore underlying causes.
Capable of building rapport and credibility at all organisational levels.
Highly organised, resilient, and able to prioritise workload effectively.
Strong ability to maintain confidentiality.
Full driving licence with willingness to travel as required.
CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD certification (or willing to study).
