ERP SAP Ariba Implementation Lead

The ERP SAP Ariba and Fieldglass Implementation Lead will spearhead the deployment of SAP Strategic Sourcing within our clients organisation. This is a pivotal role in transforming their sourcing capabilities and delivering long-term value across their commercial operations. The successful candidate will lead discovery, design, and delivery phases in partnership with System Integrators, using the SAP Activate methodology.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing as well as Fieldglass in parallel.
* Actively engage in programme governance and be accountable for mobilisation of resources, development/ baselining of delivery plans
* Apply SAP Activate methodology to structure and guide the implementation lifecycle.
* Discovery & Pain Point Analysis – using existing Source to Pay process review materials together with identifying further inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
* Then translate findings into actionable design inputs for the Ariba solution
* Engage with internal stakeholders across Commercial/Procurement, Digital, Finance, ERP Programme, and AOCD.
* Ensure alignment and buy-in from senior leadership and wider business teams.
* Full collaboration with our SI partner.
* Develop and execute a robust business change strategy focussing on both suppliers and internal users. Lead supplier onboarding and engagement strategies. Champion user adoption through a robust training and support approach.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience leading SAP Ariba implementations, ideally within utilities or regulated industries.
* Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, procurement processes, and ERP integration
* Expertise in SAP Activate methodology and programme mobilisation or equivalent
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
* Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., especially SAP) and data analytics/migration tools)
