We’re working with a fantastic SEN school in Slough who are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. The school supports pupils aged 4–19 with a range of complex needs, including autism, PMLD, and speech and language difficulties. You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced team, in a setting that truly values its staff. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, term-time only, starting in September 2025. This is a highly rewarding role where you’ll work closely with pupils who need extra support in the classroom. You may be working 1:1 or supporting across a small class group, depending on the needs of the students. You’ll help deliver structured learning activities, regulate behaviour, and build strong, trusting relationships with the young people in your care. The team are looking for someone calm, caring, and confident – experience in SEN would be great, but not essential. Responsibilities: – Supporting pupils with additional needs, either 1:1 or in small groups – Assisting the teacher in delivering a personalised and engaging curriculum – Helping pupils regulate their emotions and access their learning – Promoting independence, communication, and positive relationships – Working as part of a close-knit, collaborative team Requirements: – Experience working with children or young people (in any setting) – A calm, patient, and empathetic approach – Willingness to support pupils with a range of needs including Autism, SLCN, and PMLD – A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people – A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
