A full-time permanent opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Band Peer Trainer to join our friendly RCE Wellbeing Hub team in the Peterborough locality. Teaching in other locations will be expected.
RCE Wellbeing Hub is a collaborative, educational learning environment that aims to convey messages of hope, control, and opportunity to all.
We seek a Trainer to co-produce and deliver high-quality, relevant courses. The post holder will establish supportive and respectful relationships with all students of the Wellbeing Hub and represent the Hub and the wider recovery team at conferences and Trust events.
The post holder must hold a professional teaching qualification (or be willing to undertake one within months of starting) and have lived experience of health challenges.
This is a hybrid role involving face-to-face teaching throughout Peterborough and Cambridgeshire, as well as online teaching where you may work from home.
Main duties of the job
* Act as a role model of recovery within the RCE Wellbeing Hub, sharing your lived experience appropriately.
* Report directly to the Wellbeing Hub Deputy Manager; responsible for delivering high-quality, co-produced courses.
* Support administrative processes such as database entry, handling phone calls from students, and welcoming students into the hub.
* Inspire hope and belief in recovery by sharing your lived experience, supporting information sharing that promotes choice, self-determination, and social connection.
* Promote your role through providing information and learning opportunities for the multidisciplinary team and others across the Trust. You may also deliver training to internal and external partners.
