The child-centred and holistic approach to our work ensures strong working relationships with educational settings and parents. We use listening skills, an optimistic outlook and psychological insight to problem solve and make a difference. We are valued for the impact of the high-quality casework, training, therapeutic work, systems work and research which we carry out to enable positive change and improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

We are a strong, supportive team, with professional autonomy. We use a fair, equitable, and transparent system to allocate work across the service. We offer flexible working arrangements/ hybrid working where this meets the needs of the service. The EPS has excellent links with regional training courses which provides opportunities for further extending professional development. We recognise and value the importance of building a resilient team culture, supporting staff wellbeing, and promoting cross base working. The service is committed to championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. The service values, Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Kindness, underpin all decision making.
