What you will be doing:
As a Prepared Produce Team Leader, alongside your key duties as a prep operative, you will be responsible for setting up and running a shift within the prep facility. You will ensure all paperwork and procedures are adhered to along with ensuring the team abide by food safety and health and safety guidelines. You will support the team in continuous training and development providing necessary training when required.
Responsibilities will include:
* Managing staff absence and ensuring cover is provided.
* Cover Prep Supervisor for the TMS authorisation when on holiday
* Must have excellent knowledge of how the prep facility runs, from machines in processing to knowing different product requirements
* Confident and can train new starters and trainee prep operatives in all areas
* Must have some knowledge of HACCP and how Qlik works for the order production process
* Must be able to look at forward orders and see if a special order or sample order have been put on the system,
* Ability to order and collect prep ingredients from main warehouse
* Keeping stock batch codes up to date
* FLT licence to operate facility
* Have the knowledge how to plan and prepare for the following day
* Organisation of a shift and allocation of roles for the day
* Monitoring team work, giving instruction and guidance to team members
* Strictly following the documented procedures at all the time
* Using machines to produce the products
* Carrying out safety checks on the machinery
* Dissemble and assemble production machinery for operation and cleaning
* Use of knifes for production of certain vegetables as trained
* Non-conformance reporting techniques
* Microbiological awareness - understanding of basic of food safety
* Knowledge how register and take micro swab samples.
* Adherence to the food safety and health and safety guidelines when preparing the products
* Bagging to correct weight, QC, vacuum packing, labelling and Metal detecting
* Collating of orders ready for delivery
* Cleaning down the facility at the end of each shift
* Completing of paperwork around collation area
* Reporting any damage or issue to the Prep Supervisor
* First Aid and Fire Marshall trained
