Leeds or Dublin 12 Month FTC Your team Reporting to the AML Team Lead, the AML officer role forms part of the AML Compliance Team, which is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations such as the UK Money Laundering Regulations and Proceeds of Crime Act and preventing the use of our brands and their products for illicit financial gain, with the aim of keeping crime out of gambling. As an AML Officer you will identify risks and control gaps, provide specialist advice and support, act on suspicious activity, and maintain and monitor the brand's AML control framework across Online and Retail (UK&I). What you'll do We are looking for a professional, capable, and motivated person to provide proactive support. We are looking for someone who enjoys being busy, has plenty of initiative, is confident and can 'hit the ground running'. Provide support to the AML teams across the UK&I, with a primary focus on the review of Internal SARs. Assist with the investigation of suspicious transactions or money laundering alerts. Prepare and submit disclosures as approved by the MLRO/DMLRO. Prepare non-disclosure drafts with MLRO approval. Maintenance of the External Information process - including due diligence gathering, document management, and responding to law enforcement requests. Provide specialist advice and training to the Customer Ops teams. Get involved with ad-hoc and ongoing project work, guiding the rest of the business on AML/CTF related matters. Develop your own learning to become an SME within the business. Keep up to date with changes in legislation and regulation, and how this may affect the business. Assist with compliance monitoring, evaluations, and risk assessments. Any other tasks deemed necessary for the efficient running of the AML Compliance Team. How you'll do it You will be looking to progress your career in AML and utilise strong analytical ability, administration skills and attention to detail to complete tasks in a pioneering and efficient manner. Familiarity with UK and Ireland AML regulations (JMLSG). Experience within an AML/KYC/Due Diligence Function. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable building relationships at all levels and an ability to build and maintain working relationships with the wider business. Strong attention to detail and high levels of integrity, with a commitment to delivering quality results in-line with deadlines. Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise heavy workloads and remain calm under pressure, with the ability to manage time and projects effectively and prioritise workloads within tight deadlines. Effective analytical skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information. Enthusiastic and motivated, you'll bring a positive attitude to this challenge. Possess the ability to work both independently, and as part of a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
