Manufacturing Engineer Location: Peterborough Rate: £35.00 FCSA Umbrella (Inside IR35) or £25.50 PAYE Duration: 12months – likely to extend Key Responsibilities Lead manufacturing engineering deliverables across all NPI gateways. Own readiness reviews and ensure ME inputs are approved prior to each gateway. Working with facility Manufacturing Engineers to ensure new processes work seamlessly with the existing manufacturing processes. Deliver process design, PFMEA, control plans, standard work and documentation. Manage tooling, fixtures, and equipment from specification to commissioning. Support prototype, pilot, and validation build phases, ensuring issues are resolved between gateways. Support PPAP, capability studies, risk management, and launch readiness metrics. Requirements: Strong NPI, programme delivery/ launch engineering experience in automotive or similar manufacturing environment. Knowledge of precision manufacturing processes.
