About the role
Connex Education is searching for enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistant to support in a primary school in the Stockton area for the role commencing in September. Connex Education are delighted to have the opportunity to work in positive, inclusive school environments.
About the school
The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who has experience working throughout the school, ideally with experience supporting pupils with SEND. While supporting children with their learning, we are seeking a Teaching Assistant who can provide a nurture-based approach to school life.
Assignment Details
The role will begin in September. As a Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include, providing in-class support to teachers, working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and ensure engagement. Managing student behavior and promoting a positive learning environment as well as contributing to progress monitoring. Excellent communication skills, curriculum knowledge, and a passion for supporting student learning and development are essential for succeeding in this flexible, supply-based teaching assistant role.

Person Specification
8. Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 4 and 11 years.
9. Be willing to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups with children
10. Have behaviour management skills
11. Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
12. Be organised and reliable
13. Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one
14. Willing to go the extra mile!
