Overview
Wakefield Cares Careers Hub is looking for a part‑time, temporary team member (23.5 hours per week until 30 June 2026) to support a project dedicated to helping displaced workers gain suitable employment in the adult social care sector in Wakefield.
Responsibilities
* Main point of contact for displaced workers in Wakefield
* Carry out introductory calls for new displaced worker referrals
* Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify suitable vacancies
* Signpost displaced workers to pastoral support services
* Keep data and records accurate and up to date
Qualifications
Team player with a positive attitude
1. Compassionate and empathetic person who genuinely wants the best outcomes for others
2. 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (including English Language) or equivalent
3. Experience in a related role such as Local Government Administration or a recruitment related role
4. Excellent knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Word & Excel
5. Comfortable picking up the phone and engaging with people in line with Wakefield Council’s customer service standards
