Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant (SEMH)
Location: Blackpool
Salary: £98 per day
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday (08:30 - 15:30)
Start Date: 8th September 2025
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Blackpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with additional social, emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively in both learning and personal development.
The Role:
Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
Assist teachers in delivering structured and engaging lessons.
Support pupils in managing behaviour and developing positive coping strategies.
Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage confidence, independence and personal growth.
Contribute to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with young people with SEMH is highly desirable - whether as a Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Teaching Assistant, or through similar roles.
A patient, empathetic and resilient approach to behaviour support.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations.
A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
