Role: SEN Teacher
Pay: £30,000 to £46,525 Pro Rata
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday - 8:20am to 4:00pm
Start: May - Fixed term contract for one year maternity cover
Simply Education is working with an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ SEN Primary School with a great environment for learning. We are looking for a SEN Teacher for a mixed ability class with students with Autism with learning mainly focused on phonics. In this role, every day will be different and being able to adapt is an important skill that is required.
As a SEN Teacher, you must be able to build rapport with both pupils and school team members. You must be calm and nurturing with the ability to build great relationships with pupils. Each day will be different from the last therefore being adaptable is very important.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience working in an SEN setting
- Extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Quick thinking with the ability to adapt with ease to new environments
- An understanding of working with students with SEND
- Strong communication skills with pupils and an understanding of pupils behaviour patterns when experiencing complex needs and trauma
