Learning Support Assistant – Worthing (Post-16) Are you passionate about helping young people thrive in college? Pink Tile are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a large, inclusive further education setting in Worthing. Roles are long-term from Monday 8 September 2025, with part-time and full-time options (term-time only). Role: Learning Support Assistant (Post-16) Pay: £89 per day Length: Long-term from 8/09/2025 (with potential to extend) Location: Worthing (FE college environment) Hours: Flexible (3–5 days per week available) What you’ll do Support learners (16–19 and adults) in class across vocational and academic courses. Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions to scaffold learning and build independence. Work with students with SEN/EHCPs (e.g. ASC, ADHD, Dyslexia/SpLD, SEMH, sensory/physical needs). Promote routines, behaviour expectations and engagement; adapt tasks and resources. Note-take/scribe and support exam access arrangements where required. Liaise with tutors, SEND staff and parents/carers; keep concise progress notes. (Where appropriate) support with personal care/ mobility or assistive technology. What we’re looking for At least 6 weeks’ experience supporting young people (school/college, youth work, care or similar). Calm, patient communicator who can build rapport and set clear boundaries. Confident supporting a range of needs and establishing inclusive strategies. GCSE (or equivalent) English & Maths at grade C/4 preferred. Enhanced DBS (Update Service ideal) and up-to-date safeguarding training. Desirable: experience with ASC/SEMH, Makaton/BSL, or assistive tech.
