Rapid Response Ambulance is a dynamic and rapidly growing CQC registered Ambulance Service, quickly becoming a preferred provider and agency staff provider of skilled ambulance personnel for both patient transport and emergency medical services.

We proudly supply CQC regulated services across the UK and staff to CQC-registered companies across the Midlands.

Job Description

We are looking for experienced, compassionate, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Self-Employed Agency Bank Ambulance Care Assistants. In this role, you will be responsible for providing non-emergency patient transport services, assisting patients in and out of the ambulance, ensuring their safety during transit, and offering support as needed.

As a bank staff member, you'll enjoy the flexibility to choose your shifts, making this position ideal for those seeking a better work-life balance or looking to supplement their income.

Key Responsibilities

* Transporting patients safely and comfortably between locations, including hospitals, care homes, and private residences.
* Assisting patients with mobility, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
* Providing compassionate care and support to patients, respecting their dignity and privacy at all times.
* Working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
* Maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
* Completing all required documentation accurately and promptly.

Requirements

* Must be an existing or have previous experience in a healthcare or patient transport role.
* A valid UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points.
* A caring and empathetic nature, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
* A flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
* Certification in First Aid or higher (Frec 3 or 4 desirable)
* Proof of all training and a checkable 3-year work history..

Terms of service

Rapid Response Ltd (trading as Rapid Response Ambulance) is a CQC regulated service provider and an agency that supplies staff to CQC-registered companies working with or on behalf of the NHS. This role requires a fully enhanced DBS check, including both barring lists, and all applicants must undergo NHS vetting procedures before any formal offer of work can be made. Staff are engaged on a self-employed basis with zero-hour contracts. Each offer of work is distinct and does not imply permanent placement or continuous employment. While working on behalf of Rapid Response Ltd, you are required to adhere to all company policies, procedures, terms, and conditions of service.

Job Types: Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
