Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
* Monitor food production processes to ensure quality control and adherence to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
* Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages as needed.
* Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing offerings.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
* A passion for cooking and a desire to continuously learn and improve culinary skills.
