Registered Manager - Children's Services
We have an exciting opportunity in our brand new not-for-profit Children's services Residential Home. This is a need led children's LD residential home and we're now looking for a Registered Manager to help us set the stage for a truly impactful service. Could this be you?
The successful applicant will lead, manage and support a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, while acting as a corporate parent to the children we care for, helping, supporting and ensuring they thrive in their day to day lives.
About the Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the children’s home supporting children and young people with LD disabilities and other additional complex needs. As an experienced manager you can confidently lead a dedicated team, fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere for all to thrive. You will play a key role in setting up and developing this new service, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
What you need to be successful in this role:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People\'s Services (or equivalent).
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in children’s residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
* In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in children’s services.
* Experience in planning and implementing care plans and any documentation relevant to children and young people to a high standard that meet in full The Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
* Experience of supporting children and young people with LD disabilities that can sometimes display complex behaviours.
* Leading Ofsted home inspections
* Experience opening new services is advantageous
