Role Objective
As a Field Service Engineer, you will service and maintain a diverse range of personal safety equipment and fixed gas detection systems, ensuring compliance, reliability, and user confidence across client sites.
Responsibilities
* Service and maintenance of portable gas detectors, SCBA, Escape Breathing apparatus, and fall arrest and lifting equipment.
* Set up and commissioning of new gas detection systems.
* Build trust-based relationships with clients and identify additional safety equipment needs.
* Ensure customer satisfaction to drive repeat business.
* Complete all relevant paperwork and update the CRM database.
* Provide vital data for management reporting and support the workshop as needed.
Ideal Candidate
Experience
* Minimum of 2 years’ proven engineering experience as a Field Service Engineer or a Static Engineer/Technician, ideally within the safety equipment industry.
* Background in utilities, engineering, or construction sectors preferred.
* Knowledge of fixed gas detection systems is desirable but not essential.
* Demonstrated experience in fault-finding and effective decision-making.
