Electronic Design Engineer (STM / PCB / Firmware) – W London
Are you ready to get hands-on with high-performance scientific instruments?
We’re seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to join our R&D team to lead the design, product development, and management of cutting-edge embedded systems and precision electronics.
Responsibilities
* Designing low-noise analogue/digital PCBs and embedded systems (STM32).
* Developing firmware using STM32CubeIDE & FreeRTOS for real-time control.
* Overseeing end-to-end product development: concept, prototyping, testing, and launch.
* Managing product lifecycles, from requirements definition and feature prioritization through post-launch support and enhancements.
* Preparing project documentation, product roadmaps, and supporting NPI (New Product Introduction).
* Producing wiring schematics, building prototypes, and integrating systems.
Qualifications
* A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or similar).
* Experience with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, etc.).
* Embedded systems and firmware development skills.
* Familiarity with product management best practices, market/competitive analysis, and user-centric design principles.
* Knowledge of EMC, CE/UKCA compliance, and debugging tools.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for both stakeholders and team members.
