Responsibilities:
Deliver effective, high-quality Geography lessons from Year 7 to Year 13, ensuring that the study of physical and human environments meets the needs of all students.
Monitor and assess student progress, using data to provide constructive feedback and ensure high levels of academic achievement across GCSE and A-Level cohorts.
Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral support and maintaining positive professional relationships with students, parents, and carers.
Collaborate with experienced colleagues to develop innovative resources and field-study curriculum plans, including the creative use of ICT and Interactive Whiteboards.
Foster an inclusive environment, managing your classroom effectively to ensure safety, motivation, and high standards of behaviour.
Requirements:
Hold QTS (or expect to hold it by September 2026) and a relevant undergraduate degree in Geography or a related field.
Successful teaching practice at the secondary level, ideally in a multi-ethnic urban 11-18 setting.
Foundational knowledge of National Curriculum requirements, including an eagerness to master GCSE and A-Level specifications.
Excellent communication and ICT skills, with a resilient "growth mindset" and a commitment to continuous professional development.
