Business Development Manager – Hospitality VenueBrighton £50,000 + Bonus
We are working with fantastic hospitality business, a vibrant and fast-paced venue in Brighton, who are looking for a Business Development Manager to take ownership of their commercial sales activity. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven sales professional to join an exciting business with a strong pipeline of leads, a busy and buzzing venue, and real scope to make your mark.
You'llbe leading a small team, managing one SalesExecutiveandworking closely together to convert enquiries, grow revenue and build lasting client relationships.
Main duties:
1. Create and execute a sales plan tailored to the Brighton hospitality market
2. Manage and develop the Sales Executive through regular performance meetings and hands-on coaching
3. Attend networking events across Brighton and the wider region to raise the profile of the venue and generate new business
4. Host sales meetings with senior management and the wider team
5. Create forecasting data and present commercial performance to senior stakeholders
6. Support the team in building compelling packages and proposals for new enquiries
7. Plan and deliver venue open days andshowcases, ensuring key clients and prospects are in attendance
Requirements:
8. Previousexperience in hospitality or events sales, ideally within a venue environment
9. Experience managing or mentoring a sales team member
10. Confident in creating sales forecasts and budgets
11. Strong negotiation and communication skills
12. A natural relationship-builder withclients,suppliersand colleagues alike
13. Self-motivated and commercially driven, with the ability to take real ownership of the role
