Overview
Bedford Borough Council are currently recruiting for a Civil Enforcement Officer on a full time basis.
Responsibilities
* Ensure effective enforcement of parking regulations within on‑street areas of the Borough and car parks.
* Promote good relations with the community and represent the Council professionally at all times.
* Carry out school enforcement patrols in the mornings and afternoons daily.
* Complete a two‑shift rota including early and late shifts, working 5 out of 7 days per week with some weekends and Bank Holidays.
Schedule and Shift Details
* Early Shift: 06:45 – 15:09
* Late Shift: 10:45 – 19:09
* One week early shift, following week late shift.
* Each shift includes a 1‑hour lunch break.
* A full uniform including footwear and PPE is supplied.
* After training, assigned to an area of the town to patrol.
