Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in air conditioning systems. This role involves building, maintaining, and repairing various air conditioning units, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. The successful applicant will also demonstrate leadership qualities, guiding junior engineers and technicians in their tasks.
Engineers are paid by the hour from door-to-door. Salary figure is a guide & will be dependent on the number of hours worked.
Responsibilities
* Install and maintain air conditioning systems in predominantly commercial settings.
* Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify issues within air conditioning units.
* Repair and replace defective components as necessary, ensuring all work meets safety standards.
* Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot problems effectively.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
* Provide guidance and training to junior staff on best practices for equipment repair and maintenance.
* Maintain accurate records of service performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
* Stay updated with the latest industry developments and technologies related to air conditioning systems.
Qualifications
* NVQ & F-gas
* Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various types of air conditioning equipment.
* Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
