The Position: The Laundry Machine Operator is responsible for checking, washing, drying, and packing laundry, laundering NHS and patient linen, ensuring observation of infection control procedures are adhered to at all times and delivering linen to the wards. Under the direction of the Domestic Services Team Lead you will be accountable for maintaining laundry equipment and keeping logbooks in reflection to any on-going maintenance and Health and Safety issues. The Candidate: We’re looking for candidates with prior laundry experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential for this role. While experience in a healthcare setting, as well as COSHH and Infection Control training are advantageous, they are not mandatory – comprehensive training will be provided.
