Role Details Role/Job Title: IT Business Analyst Work Location: Edinburgh Mode of Working Hybrid / Office Based: Hybrid If Hybrid, how many days are required in office? 3 days Any other working conditions - travel/on call/shifts: Day rate includes being available in office, potential on call during releases additional compensation to be agreed The Role The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for defining, analysing, and managing business requirements to enable successful delivery of change initiatives. The role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring solutions are well-defined, aligned to business objectives, and deliver measurable value. The Business Analyst will work across the full change lifecycle, from early scoping through to delivery, testing, and implementation support, operating within agreed governance and regulatory standards. Your Responsibilities (Up to 10, Avoid repetition) Defining or re-confirming the problem statement and desired outcomes as well as defining and agreeing the scope and requirements that will deliver value to Phoenix Defining, clarifying and documenting requirements using appropriate analysis techniques. Mapping the as-is processes and identifying opportunities for improvements Working with stakeholders to design and implement to-be processes and oversee the successful implementation of improvements to enable successful integration, improve inefficient processes and meet strategic objectives Understanding and agreeing requirements with the project team and key stakeholders and tracking and tracking requirements through to delivery Challenging and prioritizing requirements and solutions to maximize business value Encouraging teamwork and breaking down boundaries Shaping and influencing including solution, estimating, planning and regular risk reviews Resolving challenges, analyzing and making recommendations Supporting testing, business readiness and go-live Taking responsibility to plan and manage own workload Your Profile Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience (Up to 10, Avoid repetition) Between 3 - 5 years' experience of working in Change, ideally in Financial Services. A self-starter with a focus on results and outcomes, the drive and autonomy to establish requirements and ability to build strong relationships within project team and stakeholders. Must be effective at following governance, process and content delivery. Close attention to detail, impact and messaging, ensuring that all process, data and customer analysis are meaningful, relevant, and completed to a high standard. Must be an effective communicator, adept at handling copious amounts of data and information and presenting it in words and pictures that are simple and easy to understand Must be comfortable facilitating workshops and working sessions with a range of stakeholders across organization hierarchies. Experienced in working in a changing environment, be comfortable with ambiguity and have the ability to shape and influence the delivery of projects
