Care UK, a multi-award-winning company, is the 4th largest healthcare provider in the UK. We are expanding our portfolio of over 150 care homes and day centres, with up to 20 new care homes opening across the country in the next 3 years. We have also recently taken over management of 26 new homes nationwide.

We are seeking a new Operational Support Manager to oversee 11 homes across Sussex and Kent. This role is field-based with regional travel required.

You will lead, manage, and motivate home managers to support and develop their teams, ensuring safe and caring environments for residents. You will work with an excellent operations team and a visionary Director.


Key Responsibilities

* Support a team of home managers, fostering a positive environment for development
* Build and maintain positive customer relationships, proactively understanding needs and delivering service improvements
* Manage risks to ensure compliance and safety
* Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Coordinate with regulatory bodies, responding promptly to information requests
* Support staff development and ensure best practices in care delivery
* Maintain effective communication with stakeholders
* Participate in recruitment, induction, retention, and staff development in line with legislation and company policies
* Act as Home Manager when needed
* Manage complaints and concerns appropriately
* Implement Safeguarding policies
* Ensure effective communication across all channels
* Maintain relationships with external agencies and the local community
* Ensure safety and welfare of all service users, visitors, and staff
* Stay informed about changes in the care environment
* Work with stakeholders to improve services
* Coordinate with HR on employment matters and promote equality and diversity
* Assist in planning and implementing development plans for care homes
* Promote best practice and innovation

* Ensure a safe, healthy, and homely environment

* Meet objectives through effective leadership
* Work flexibly, including nights and weekends as needed
