We’re hiring for a Welder Fabricator to join a leading manufacturer based in Chapel-en-le-Frith. You’ll be working on the fabrication and welding of mild steel components used in heavy-duty industrial applications, joining a well-established team in a clean, well-equipped production environment. What’s on offer? * £17.27 per hour * 4-day workweek: 7:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday * Overtime available at enhanced rates * 25 days holiday statutory * Employee pension scheme * Death in service (2x salary) * Employee healthcare scheme * Annual company events * Permanent or temp-to-perm position available What will you be doing as a Welder Fabricator? * Working with mild steel plate (typically 6–10mm, up to 25mm) * Carrying out MIG/MAG welding using standard fillet and butt weld techniques * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to fabricate components to spec * Using hand and power tools for fabrication and assembly work * Performing vertical down welds and working with Sub Arc processes (if experienced) What do you need? * Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator working with MIG/MAG processes * Comfortable working with mild steel plate and structural fabrications * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in fabrication/welding * Ability to read and work from technical drawings * Time-served fabricator background preferred * Coded welding experience or Sub Arc knowledge (beneficial but not essential) If you’re an experienced fabricator looking for a long-term opportunity with a company that values expertise and offers a stable and supportive working environment, apply today or speak with Jack Liddle at KPJ Group for more information between 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday.
