Job Role: HR Project Lead – Terms and Conditions Review

Assignment Period: 3 months ongoing
Working period: Full time - (Hybrid working available)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Project Lead to manage a high-profile, time-sensitive review of workforce Terms and Conditions. This strategic role requires strong employment law expertise and excellent stakeholder management. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to deliver a robust project plan within the first two weeks, ensuring legal, financial, and operational alignment. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in shaping future workforce policies, including assessing the impact of the upcoming Employment Rights Bill.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver a project plan for the review of Terms and Conditions
* Map out critical change pathways and assess risks and consequences
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders including HR, Finance, Legal, and Trade Unions
* Provide regular updates and assurance to the Chief Executive, S151 Officer, and SLT
* Analyse legislative impacts, including implications of the Employment Rights Bill
What We Are Looking For:
* Strong HR background with expert understanding of employment law
* Proven track record in project management, ideally within a local authority context
* In-depth knowledge of local government terms and conditions (Green Book)
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to operate at a senior level and provide strategic assurance
