Reports to: Senior Manager – Emerging Applications Portfolio
The Workiva Platform Support Specialist will provide hands-on configuration, data connectivity, and operational support for Workiva, Aztec’s enterprise reporting platform used to automate financial statement production, regulatory reporting, and investor disclosures.
You will work closely with financial reporting teams, data engineers, and application specialists to ensure Workiva operates efficiently, securely, and in alignment with Aztec’s reporting automation strategy. This role is central to the digital transformation of client reporting processes, ensuring high data quality and governance across reporting workflows.
You will ensure the platform operates in compliance with Aztec’s change management, ISAE 3402, and information security controls, maintaining documentation and audit evidence to support the integrity of Aztec’s financial reporting processes.
Key responsibilities:
Platform Administration & Lifecycle Management
1. Configure and maintain Workiva Wdesk/Wdata workspaces, templates, and linked spreadsheets
2. Manage access control, permissions, and user onboarding in accordance with information security and ISAE requirements
3. Maintain configuration documentation, test evidence, and version logs for all production changes
4. Support the controlled deployment of templates and connections through Aztec’s change management and CAB processes
Operational Support & Issue Management
5. Resolve user issues and workflow errors in line with defined SLAs and escalation procedures
6. Monitor Wdata Chains and integrations with eFront, Databricks, and Excel to ensure data accuracy and stability
7. Liaise with Workiva support and internal teams to manage incidents and root cause analysis
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
8. Maintain evidence of testing, approvals, and reconciliations for audit and ISAE 3402 reviews
9. Participate in quarterly user access reviews and periodic control assessments
10. Identify opportunities to enhance process automation and strengthen control efficiency
Reporting Automation & Quality Assurance
11. Assist in building and automating financial and regulatory reporting templates
12. Ensure cross-referenced content, live data links, and version control processes operate reliably
13. Support the rollout of Wdata Chains and other automation features
14. Conduct system testing, maintain documentation, and manage UAT cycles
Collaboration & Training
15. Work closely with financial reporting, fund accounting, and data teams to streamline reporting cycles
16. Provide day-to-day user support and contribute to internal training and knowledge-base materials
17. Escalate recurring issues and propose process improvements for continuous enhancement
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
18. 3–5 years’ experience in finance or technology support roles, ideally within fund administration or financial reporting
19. Working knowledge of Workiva, and similar reporting platforms such as Vena, BlackLine, or Adaptive
20. Strong Excel and data-validation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
21. Understanding of financial statements and fund structures
22. Clear communicator, able to support users and collaborate with control functions (Audit, Risk, IT Security)
Desirable
23. Experience with Workiva Wdata Chains, SQL, MuleSoft, Alteryx or Power Automate
24. Exposure to private-markets systems such as eFront and regulatory reporting automation
Qualifications & Experience
25. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
26. 3+ years’ experience supporting business-critical SaaS platforms
