Overview
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a 6-week travel assignment in Scotland, South Dakota. Responsibilities
* Assess patient or resident health, monitor for changes, and take appropriate action to ensure well-being
* Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the patient care team
* Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
* Observe residents for medication reactions or changes in condition and report concerns to the healthcare provider
* Provide treatments including wound care, IV therapy, catheter management, and other skilled procedures within scope of practice
* Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating appropriately and ensuring residents receive quality care
* Educate residents and families on medications, treatments, and management of chronic conditions
* Document care provided, resident progress, and health changes in a timely manner
* Respond quickly to emergencies, delivering critical care and coordinating with medical teams when needed
* Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
* Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
* Adhere to facility safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
* One year of recent experience as an RN in a long-term care setting
* Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
* Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
* ACLS Certification
* Other certifications may be required depending on facility requirements

* Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
* Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
* Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; proficiency with PC skills
* Physical abilities: able to remain stationary as needed and to move, push, pull, and bend (up to 50-100 lbs)
* Interpersonal skills to collaborate with a variety of personnel and maintain professionalism
* Tactical/motor skills for assisting with procedures and equipment handling
* Mental and emotional resilience to work under pressure and adapt to varying schedules
* Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication abilities
