Responsibilities
Responsible for the leadership and coordination of the specialist CAMHS psychology service including work planning and allocation of work, development of the MDT service and day‑to‑day line management of a team of 12 WTE psychologists. Taking responsibility for MDT leadership as the psychology lead in the MDT within the North Edinburgh Lothian Outpatient team, working closely with colleagues across the pathway of care within CAMHS. Proposing and implementing policy and service development changes for the psychology staff and wider MDT. To deputise for the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and other Lead Psychologists as required.
Responsible for the management of a highly specialist caseload within outpatient CAMHS and to provide expert consultation and opinion across disciplines within health and Multi‑Agency Children Services.
Responsible for the development, management and governance of psychology teaching, training, consultancy and supervision activities within specialist area.
To maintain high levels of clinical governance in developing an effective service to meet the LDP Standards for Specialist CAMHS and the Neurodevelopmental Pathway.
To plan, supervise and undertake audit and research relevant to the service area.
Qualifications
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
As this post is part‑time, the salary will be pro‑rata.
