Job Title: SC Cleared Solutions Architect
Job Description
We are seeking an actively SC cleared Solution Architect with a strong expertise in Optel transmission and a solid understanding of VOIP to support a large-scale transformation programme. This role involves close collaboration across network, transmission, and Cisco environments, and requires travel.
Responsibilities
1. Act as the Solution Architect for Optel transmission within a complex, multi-vendor environment.
2. Design and validate solutions across Optel transmission technologies, including PDH and SDH.
3. Support the Traveller platform, ensuring effective integration with Cisco networking.
4. Ensure appropriate segregation of circuits, placing required services onto dedicated MPLS networks.
5. Provide architectural input to support VOIP services with a high-level awareness.
6. Work closely with Cisco technologies, including MPLS and Core Manager Express.
7. Produce and review high-level and low-level design documentation.
Essential Skills
8. Proven experience as a Solution Architect in large-scale network or transmission projects.
9. Converting the DNO/TO trunks at the regional telephony nodes so that they present to the central system as VOIP
10. Strong background in Optel transmission networks.
11. Hands-on or architectural experience with PDH/SDH.
12. Solid understanding of Cisco networking, particularly MPLS.
13. experience working in environments where separate circuits must be isolated onto their own MPLS networks.
14. VOIP awareness sufficient to ensure compatibility and architectural alignment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
15. experience operating in large, regulated infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
