Role: Project Engineer Location: Dungeness, UK. Contract: 24 Months Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering projects within a highly regulated environment. You will be responsible for design, execution, and technical oversight across the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Define project requirements and stakeholder needs Support Project Execution Plans (design, safety case, commissioning) Develop engineering designs and technical solutions Produce and approve technical specifications Manage design and modification activities Oversee contractor work, risk assessments, and method statements Provide technical supervision during construction and commissioning Ensure compliance with engineering, safety, and quality standards Support handover to operations and maintain configuration control Conduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities Essential Skills & Experience HNC/HND/Degree (NQF Level 5/6 or equivalent) Mechanical or Electrical engineering background Experience within industrial or process plant environments Nuclear or conventional project engineering experience Strong understanding of engineering standards and compliance Desirable Knowledge of safety rules and risk assessment methodologies Understanding of site licence and quality management systems CDM Designer experience Contract and project delivery experience Membership of a professional engineering body Chartered Engineer status
