About Our Client

Job Description

3. Manage the full procurement lifecycle for a range of goods, services, and works across highways and construction categories.
4. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support project timelines, budget requirements, and long-term value creation.
5. Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT, bespoke contracts) in alignment with business and legal requirements.
6. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including project managers, engineers, commercial teams, and finance to understand requirements and align procurement activity.
7. Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management to ensure quality, compliance, and delivery expectations are met.
8. Ensure all procurement activity adheres to internal policies, UK Public Contracts Regulations (PCR 2015), and applicable frameworks (e.g., CCS, SCAPE).
9. Monitor market trends, cost movements, and supplier developments to inform strategic decisions and mitigate supply risks.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have:

10. Proven experience in procurement management, preferably within highways, construction, or civil engineering.
11. Strong knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and frameworks.
12. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
13. Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
14. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
15. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
