As Renewables Distribution Business Manager you will manage the day to day relationships of our National specialist renewable teams and specialist distributors and work in collaboration with the sales teams to maximise growth across our multi brand portfolio with specific focus on renewable related products.
This is a varied role creating and developing sales in line with the planned targets for Carrier RLC.
The focus of this role is to increase our visibility and working relationships within the specialist merchant, electrical wholesalers and specialist teams within plumbing and heating merchants ensuring we maximise sales across the Carrier multi brand portfolio.
Part of this role will be to support the sales strategy by market segment and implement our activity across the Carrier RLC sales organisation.
Field based and reporting to the Head of Merchant Sales, the role will be to own the sales in of our products and join up the external relationships with the regional sales managers.
To support the multi-brand strategy in creating new distribution channels and stocking agreements for our entire portfolio of products will be important to our future success.
As a Renewables Distribution Business Manager, you'll be responsible for:
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies
* Lead nationwide merchant sales to achieve to support Viessmann sales targets
* Increase our brand presence with new and existing partners
* Work with Head of Merchant sales to negotiate and align terms agreements in line with existing terms structure
* Manage the relationships with specialist distributor partners ensuring we maximise across the Carrier RLC brands
* Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
* Negotiate and close agreements with renewable focused accounts
* Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
* Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
* Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients' needs
* Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
* Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
* Training and educate our customers on our full product portfolio
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Expert market knowledge of the heating and heat pump sector, gained from experience in manufacturing sales
* Proven work experience as sales manager with a good success rating
* Excellent communication and motivational skills
* Self-motivated, target orientated, proactive in approach with solid commercial acumen
* An ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics
* Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
* Strong communication skills
* A "can do", solution-focussed outlook
* Experienced with presentations, reports & managing budgets
* Self-starter, people person and relationship builder
* Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
* Availability to travel nationally throughout the UK. Wales & Scotland
* Knowledge of CRM software and Google
