Restaurant Supervisor:

Circa is an innovative restaurant with a focus on showcasing its circular ethos - a menu that reflects the local area and keeps waste to a minimum. From fermentation to open-fire cooking, our kitchen prides itself on making the most of what we get from small, ethical suppliers (typically direct from grower/farmer). In the dining room, inventive cookery meets warm and welcoming service. Circa is a space to unwind - we guide our guests through our menus in a relaxed format. Whether walking in (or joining us for a celebration) expect to find beautiful low intervention wines, gorgeous cocktails and homemade vermouths, and a wonderfully curated soundtrack. As part of our drive to be more self-sufficient, we are currently developing our own HQ bordering the river dart, with a market garden (launched late spring '25), fermentation lab, mushroom grow-room and a poly-tunnel, due Autumn this year.

Circa is listed in the coveted Michelin guide, ranks 'very good' in The Good Food Guide, and has featured in Vogue, the Telegraph, and the Times. We are also fortunate to be back-to-back finalists in the Trencherman's guide '24 & '25. We look forward to building on this momentum in the coming years.

Overview of the role:

Circa is on the lookout for a Restaurant Supervisor who is ready for their next challenge. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, our RS will play a crucial role in delivering service and the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. There is great opportunity to facilitate our bar offering, as well as assisting in stock control and management duties. Above all, we're looking for candidates that take pride in their work, enjoy delivering memorable hospitality and are ready to develop their skill set in a passionate, dynamic and nurturing team. The kind of person we're looking for:

· You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way

· 1-2 years supervisory experience in a busy, reputable bar or restaurant

· Supporting the RM you'll be hands on and help lead our services

· Effectively managing stock levels and orders

· Strong ability to multi-task, you'll be equally confident behind the bar or tableside

· Maintaining a problem-solving attitude with a courteous manner

· Demonstrable knowledge and passionate about wine, though full training will be provided

· Barista experience an advantage (not a deal breaker)

· You're highly motivated and possess a sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering those high standards for our guests and pushing our business forward

· Someone who is keen to learn & wants to be challenged, we champion development

· You're a strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual.

· You'll remain calm & professional in a pressurised environment. No toxic, 'old-school' nonsense.

· Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations

The vibe we're offering:

· 35-40 hours per week, open to PT/FT applications for the right candidate

· £13ph (on target earnings of £15/16ph with service charge)
