What we are looking for
An Assistant Head Chef that will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of all kitchen's, ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety. In the absence of the Head Chef, the Assistant Head Chef will deputise and lead the kitchen team, maintaining smooth operations, staff motivation, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef with the daily running of the main kitchen, and overseeing Prep Kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
* Maintain high standards of food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Step into a leadership role when the Head Chef is absent, ensuring consistency across the team.
* Contribute to menu development and seasonal dish ideas.
* Ensure portion control, recipe adherence, and quality standards are met.
This is full time position with a variable shift pattern, across the 7 days that the cafe is open. Cafe hours are from 8.30 to 5.30pm
Job Type: Full-time 40-45 hours per week
