About us
The Planning and Environmental Policy team is responsible for preparing policies, strategies and projects to support the sustainable growth of Salford. This includes local planning and environmental policies to ensure we get the homes and jobs Salford needs alongside a high quality natural environment, also ensuring Salford plays its part responding to the Climate Emergency.
About the Role
The Planning Support Officer is a key role in the team. You will support colleagues throughout all aspects of the team's work. This will include helping with activity such as public consultation, local plan examination and managing team administration processes, including financial management. You will work to support the collection and use of funds secured from new development to make sure these bring the most benefit to the city and its communities.
About you
You will be someone who enjoys working as part of a team and who is willing to take on new and interesting tasks so that colleagues can work effectively. You should be able to look at new challenges creatively, happy to find practical ways of getting things done. You should have an organised approach to work and be a good communicator.
