SEND Teaching Assistant – Stoke-on-Trent Start Date: Immediate starts available Pay: £444–£455 per week Contract: Full-time, long-term ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a well-established special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) school in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a full-time, ongoing position starting as soon as possible, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. About the Role: Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a range of moderate to complex needs, including autism (ASD) and behavioural challenges. Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s individual needs. Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and behaviour management. Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits. About You: Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to different students and situations. Previous experience supporting children with SEND and managing behaviour effectively. A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with young people. Able to build positive relationships with both students and staff. Able to provide suitable references and hold (or be willing to obtain) an up-to-date DBS check.
