About the Role
Were looking for a Fire Stopper to join our fire safety team. This is a hands-on, site-based role carrying out fire stopping works to help prevent the spread of fire and smoke through buildings.
Fire stopping involves sealing gaps and openings around pipes, cables, walls, and floors using specialist fire-rated materials. Experience is useful, but we are also open to people with a construction or maintenance background who are willing to learn.
This is a mobile role, working across multiple sites.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out fire stopping works to walls, floors, and service penetrations
* Install fire-rated sealants, collars, wraps, batt, and other fire stopping products
* Follow basic drawings, instructions, and manufacturer guidelines
* Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and tidy
* General drylining tasks (with fire board)
* Take photos and record completed works using a tablet or phone
* Work safely and follow company health & safety procedures
* Communicate clearly with supervisors and site contacts
Desired Skills & Experience
We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds. The following are helpful but not essential:
* Experience in fire stopping or construction / maintenance work
* Practical, hands-on skills and good attention to detail
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Good timekeeping and reliability
* Full UK driving licence (preferred due to travel)
