Trainee / Unqualified Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Location: Northamptonshire (including Northampton, Daventry, Wellingborough, Corby, Kettering, Towcester, and Rushden) Start Date: ASAP Full-time or part-time | Temporary with training provided The Role and Training Vision for Education is proud to deliver the National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP) in Northamptonshire, offering a pathway into education for those looking to start a career supporting young people. If you have transferable skills and a passion for learning, we will provide you with online training followed by a paid school placement in one of our partner mainstream primary or secondary schools. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils with day-to-day learning, behaviour management, and general classroom support. What are transferable skills? We are looking for individuals with experience from sectors such as: Care or social work (understanding of safeguarding and patience) Youth work or coaching (positive engagement and leadership) Customer service or hospitality (strong communication and adaptability) Volunteering with children or mentoring (relationship-building and empathy) If you have experience working with vulnerable people or in fast-paced, people-focused roles, you may already have what it takes to thrive as a Teaching Assistant.
