Reporting to the Maintenance Officer, the maintenance team makes sure that we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well.

What you'll be doing
* Ensure the home and grounds are kept in a good state of repair and residents have access to all appropriate areas
* Compliance with Health and Safety legislation throughout the home, including reporting of H&S incidents
* Carry out day to day repairs and some refurbishment activity to maintain standards in the care home
* Actively engage with staff, relatives and families as part of the care home team and regularly engage with residents
* Ensuring that regular safety checks and servicing is carried out on all equipment and accurate records are kept.
* Having excellent communication with the Home Manager and also the Residents

About You:
* Proven experience in maintenance and repair work
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Able to demonstrate Health and Safety awareness through discussion
* To share our values and demonstrate them at all times
* “Can-Do” flexible team worker, problem fixer, passion for what they do, ability to manage diverse and demanding workload, think out of the box, open to doing things differently
