Queensbury is a large Secondary Special School with a satellite 6th Form Centre (approximately 379, 11 – 19 year old students in total), all with Educational Health Care Plans, which caters for students with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and a range of complex needs. Our positive, caring ethos provides a safe, stable, hardworking learning environment where everyone is valued. Queensbury School are looking to appoint a dynamic, innovative Teacher to join our team. We seek an enthusiastic individual to join us as an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for ensuring all pupils “unleash their limitless potential”.
Our staff take a creative approach in teaching pupils according to their educational needs, delivering personalised curriculums in a way that maximises achievement and personal development; skills in Primary Specialists would be beneficial and are favourable with our students’ cognitive levels.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to planning and delivering high-quality, personalised lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and other complex needs.
• Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that supports pupil achievement and well-being.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and the wider team to provide effective support and differentiation.
• Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive culture and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting pupils to reach their potential.
• Applications from EYFS or Primary Specialist, MPS Teachers and ECTs with energy and drive are welcome.
• Experience and/or interest in Primary Specialist skills would be advantageous.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be subject to all necessary pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS, Childcare Disqualification (where applicable), qualifications, medical fitness, identity and right to work.
