The School is looking to recruit more Minibus Drivers to cover its expanding network of routes. These key positions play a vital role in ensuring the safe arrival at school, and safe return home, of day pupils who use the school transport service during term time. Drivers work collaboratively with other members of the team and wider school community to provide a prompt, professional service to pupils and their families. In addition, drivers have the opportunity to supplement their contracted hours with supporting daytime journeys such as trips and sports fixtures.
Minibus Drivers should ideally hold a Category D1 Licence or be willing to undertake training to obtain it.
The team of Minibus Drivers work closely together to ensure that alongside driving, they support the upkeep, maintenance and cleanliness of the fleet of vehicles, ensure that appropriate records are kept and safety checks undertaken.
Suitable candidates should be competent drivers who are reliable, able to use their own initiative, able to remain calm and professional in all circumstances, and above all enjoy working with young people.
