About the job We currently have an exciting opportunity for a System Administrator to join our existing experienced team. The System Administrator will play a critical role in supporting the technical infrastructure of the programme. This includes ensuring system health, maintaining security protocols, and executing regular patching routines across programme environments. The role demands a proactive mindset and strong technical capabilities to ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities: System Health Monitor Elastic alerts and respond to system anomalies within programme environments Ensure external networks supporting the programme are operational and stable Security Conduct regular Nessus vulnerability scans across programme assets Review and act on outputs from the Security Operations Centre (SOC) relevant to the programme Patching & Maintenance Perform firewall upgrades within programme infrastructure Manage Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for programme systems Maintain Linux repositories used by the programme Oversee patching for environments (Pre-production and Production) Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) Certifications such as CompTIA Security, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent Experience: Experience in system administration within a programme or project-based environment Familiarity with Elastic monitoring, Nessus scanning, and SOC workflows Hands-on experience with patching tools and firewall management Skills and Competencies: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Proficiency in Linux and Windows server environments Knowledge of network protocols and cybersecurity principles Ability to prioritize tasks based on programme impact About SiXworks SiXworks is a leading provider of secure digital solutions, specialising in digital experimentation and focused on fail-safe-fast cutting-edge technology solutions deployed in highly secure environments.
