The Role – What You’ll Do Plan and deliver high-quality Business lessons at KS4–KS5, aligned to current specifications and best practice. Use assessment for learning, clear feedback, and data-informed intervention to secure excellent progress. Enrich the curriculum through Young Enterprise, entrepreneurship clubs, guest speakers, workplace visits, and competitions. Contribute to schemes of work, resources, and exam preparation (e.g., case studies, mock exams, revision conferences). Maintain a purposeful classroom culture with high expectations for behaviour, effort, and outcomes. Take a positive role in the wider life of the school (tutor group, trips, open evenings, Sixth Form events). Person Specification Essential Degree in Business or closely related field. QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) and successful experience at KS4 and/or KS5. Strong subject knowledge (e.g., marketing, finance, operations, strategy, external influences). Evidence of impactful teaching, excellent communication, and effective behaviour management. Commitment to safeguarding, inclusivity, and pupil wellbeing. Desirable Experience with AQA or Edexcel at GCSE/A-Level. Evidence of raising attainment in exam cohorts and closing gaps. Experience leading enrichment (Young Enterprise, DECA-style comps, enterprise fairs). Willingness to support university/ careers guidance for Business pathways.
