We’re supporting a Local authority based in Bristol to appoint two talented Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial management and strategic insight across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be integral to the finance function, contributing to:
* Budget setting, financial planning and forecasting
* Production of statutory accounts and audit support
* Financial analysis and reporting for senior stakeholders
* Driving transformation and improving financial processes
* Supporting high-risk and complex budget areas
* Providing strategic advice on new projects, initiatives and regulatory changes
Specialist exposure
* Treasury management, capital programmes and financial strategy
* VAT, tax and compliance (CIPFA standards)
* Supplier financial appraisal and commercial due diligence
* Development of innovative service delivery models
What we’re looking for
* Strong technical accounting background in a complex environment
* Experience in public sector finance (or similarly regulated setting)
* Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insight
* Proven stakeholder management and leadership capability
* Drive to improve processes, systems and outcomes
