Role Overview
Thirteen Group is looking for a Building Support Operative to join our Building Support Services team across the North East and Yorkshire. The role provides a visible, reassuring presence across our buildings, supporting a 24/7 service model that protects assets, improves sustainability, and ensures customers feel safe while experiencing highquality, compliant services.
This is an operational role working across locations as required by the business, so flexibility around hours and location is essential.

Key responsibilities
* Provide emergency response and security services, working closely with the Control Room, onsite teams, leadership, and emergency services.
* Ensure building safety and compliance, including fire safety checks, security inspections, and accurate reporting in line with legislation and regulatory requirements.
* Deliver excellent customer service through clear, professional communication with customers and stakeholders.
* Receive, report, and help resolve service requests in collaboration with the Control Room team.
* Use technology systems to record information accurately, report building issues, and support problemsolving initiatives.
* Support waste management activities and provide cover for Control Room duties when staffing levels fall below the agreed model.
About you
* Strong understanding of health and safety requirements, particularly fire alarm systems.
* Confident using IT systems, media platforms, and workplace technology.
* Ability to manage workloads effectively, meet deadlines, and remain calm in emergency or highpressure situations.
* Professional communication skills across facetoface, verbal, and electronic channels.
* Full UK manual driving licence.
