Job Title: Creative Art Workshop Leader
We are seeking a creative individual with a background or skills in various art forms. At ArtWorks, we encourage our artists to explore multiple mediums, so experience in different creative techniques is essential. Candidates interested in art, photography, filmmaking, sculpture, animation, or textiles are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is particularly desirable. A creative degree is preferred but not mandatory; we will also consider candidates with a strong creative background without a degree.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Running workshops, volunteer placements, and community projects for artists with learning disabilities and/or autism.
2. Supporting the organisation and execution of creative activities, adapting quickly to different tasks and group needs.
3. Assisting in the creation of opportunities for artists to exhibit their work.
4. Supporting artists in fulfilling their aspirations and developing their skills.
5. Supporting the team with safety procedures, including completing registers and reporting.
6. Participating in training and shadowing to develop skills as a Workshop Leader.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Highly organised with the ability to plan ahead.
2. Experience or interest in art and creative techniques.
3. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is desirable.
4. Valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
5. Willingness to undergo care and first-aid training.
6. Experience or connections to working with people with learning disabilities or autism is beneficial but not essential.
