The role involves responsibility for MEP services delivery, health & safety, subcontractor performance and wellbeing, liaising with clients, main contractors, and consultants. It includes managing multiple subcontractors, sub-subcontractors, and suppliers on small to medium projects.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Working within the project team, under direction, communicating and coordinating with colleagues.
* Planning, monitoring, and managing the completion of MEP installation and testing, utilizing installation expertise and management processes.
* Coordinating onsite and liaising with project subcontractors, sub-subcontractors, and suppliers. Responsible for programme, HSW, and quality deliverables of your package or system.
* Managing interfaces between packages onsite.
* Communicating and coordinating with key project stakeholders, including design and construction teams.
* Identifying risks and developing risk mitigation plans.
* Supervising and utilizing modern construction methods, digital technologies, and prefabrication.
* Implementing Mace's standards and project strategies onsite.
* Contributing to net zero carbon transition efforts, managing associated emissions and reductions during delivery.
You'll need to have:
* Proficient knowledge of a technical trade (Building Services Engineering), including installation, testing, best practices, and prefabrication for supervision, planning, and quality control.
* Basic knowledge of other technical trades, installation techniques, and collaboration to ensure system integration.
* Understanding of construction build elements, sequencing, and dependencies.
* Basic knowledge of commercial management to assist with project controls.
* Proficient planning and management skills, including understanding of construction schedules and commissioning activities.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and welfare standards relevant to supply chain management.
* Understanding of quality assurance processes and system commissioning.
* Basic knowledge of digital setting out and scanning technologies.
* Experience in the M&E construction sector.
* Innovative mindset and effective communication skills.
* Responsibility, ethical conduct, resourcefulness, and leadership qualities.
* Effective resource and task management, problem-solving abilities, and stakeholder influence skills.
* Completed technical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, relevant certifications (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3, BTECH/HNC), CSCS Card, SMSTS training.
You'll also have:
* Basic understanding of system integration, BMS, and IST periods.
* Experience in the relevant M&E sector.
* Professional registration with CIOB.
* Ability to coach and support others in their development.
