The Purchasing Manager will provide strategic direction and support for the Purchasing department. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships, delivering on cost down initiatives, improvement of business processes and working with the Key Stakeholders to achieve business objectives. To play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of their Purchasing Department / Team Delivery of Departmental KPI as set by the Factory Manager Direct management responsibility for the Purchasing department. Represent the Company in negotiating Contracts and formulating policies with key suppliers. Recommend & deliver on supplier selection and development of supplier performance. Achievement of Departmental material cost down requirements. Define and maintain purchasing and contract management instructions, policies and procedures. Lead strategy of purchasing on New Product Introduction, to oversee cost and supplier selection strategy, in line with business objectives. Lead supplier and department KPI measurement. Maintain good communication and working relations with all internal departments to meet company objectives. Ensure compliance with all business regulatory requirements, eg, ISO 13485, ROHS, UL. Qualifications C.I.P.S qualification or relevant degree or experience Experience Relevant experience within a manufacturing purchasing environment. Strong demonstrable knowledge of cost down techniques. Understanding of commodity & supply base strategy. Team management experience. Negotiation and commercial experience. Knowledge of Materials Planning Systems. Job related Aptitude & skills Good computer / IT skills, particularly ERP systems Good leadership skills Strong analytical and organisation skills.
